In these times, when Greece wants to reinvent democracy, I remember the great writer and philosopher, author of two great novels that turned into movies: Zorba the Greek and The Last Temptation of Christ. But what touch me most is, let’s say, his last advice to us in the form of a quote, written in the Wall of his tombstone:

“I hope nothing. I fear nothing. I am free.”
